Stone, cloth and altitude. The crafts here are older than the road that reaches them. On the Dong Van plateau, houses of rammed earth have taken in travellers for generations, and the new lodges learn from them or close. Supplies arrive late and cost more with every switchback; comfort is carried up the mountain, and it shows in the hands of the people who carry it. We are coming for hospitality at its most exacting altitude. Filming is scheduled for Season One.
