A grand dame that has watched a century pass through its lobby, and never once hurried. The film found its stories in the corridors guests do not see — the laundry at seven, the briefing at eight where the day’s arrivals are read like a manifest, the four minutes when the pass went quiet. Three people carry the day on camera: a head butler who checks a suite eleven times and finds her correction on the ninth, an executive chef who meets the dawn delivery himself, and a general manager who walks the building the way a captain walks a ship, engine rooms first.
